LSS Refugee Services URGENT Needs
The Refugee Services of LSS is in urgent need of winter coats and gift cards because it has received more refugees this month than originally expected. Our newest neighbors need adult men and women's winter coats, sizes medium, large and extra-large, to acclimate to the temps of Minnesota’s winter. Packaged toothbrushes and full-size tubes of toothpaste are also needed. Additionally, LSS Refugee Services could use gift cards in any monetary amount from Wal-Mart, Target or Aldi to assist in procuring items for household goods. Drop winter coats and gift cards off at church ASAP and Kelly Kautz will deliver the items to LSS.
Snow Shovelers Needed
Sign-up to be on-call for weekend worship
Sign-up the whole family to help only if it snows on your scheduled weekend! Sidewalks at entrances need to be cleared by 4:30pm on Saturdays and by 8:00am on Sundays. Snow blower and shovels are available or you can choose to bring your own.

Humanity Alliance Food Pack Event
Help prepare food for families in need
Monday, February 10, 5-7pm in Victoria REGISTER
The Humanity Alliance prepares and delivers thousands of meals each week to families in need. Most of the families are in Carver or Hennepin county, however some are in other areas also. Adults and youth can come to help prepare food. Immanuel confirmation students as well as adults have volunteered in the past, and found it to be rewarding and fun!
Volunteers can either carpool (meet at 4:30 pm in the Immanuel parking lot) or to meet at the Humanity Alliance in Victoria (arrive before 5 pm).
Meals To Go at Salem Lutheran N. Minneapolis
Tuesday, February 18, 4:00-6:30pm REGISTER
Come join our partners at Salem Lutheran Church in preparing a meal for the N. Minneapolis community! Volunteers will help with food prep alongside volunteers from Salem Lutheran Church and will help with serving meals to-go style from the church parking lot. It’s a great chance for fellowship and service!
California Wildfires: Lutheran Disaster Relief & Thrivent Match
Your donation amplified!* Lutheran Disaster Response is coordinating with the Southwest California Synod, Pacifica Synod and other partners to assess the needs of people impacted by the wildfires. We will work with them to provide for immediate needs and recovery amid the widespread destruction. Lutheran Disaster Response is committed to accompanying recovering communities for months and years to come.
Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response equip us to respond to this and other disasters, whenever and wherever they strike. Gifts will be used in full (100%) for those affected by disasters.
*Thrivent will provide a $1 match for every $2 donated through this online disaster response campaign up to a maximum match of $500,000. Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.

Volunteers are needed to prepare, serve, and clean-up an EASY, catered meal once/month. Approximate time committment is 4:30-7:00pm (flexible). Join the fun and share your gift of hospitality!

Truth & Healing Group
During the past year the ELCA has initiated the “Truth & Healing Movement” as an intentional opportunity for the church to increase it’s understanding of our colonizing impacts on Indigenous people in the past and present. The movement is focused on providing opportunities to learn the true, and largely ignored, history and current realities of Indigenous people with the hope that by listening and learning, these truths will bring healing for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people alike.
At Immanuel, we have decided to start a group committed to this work within our own context here in Eden Prairie and in Minnesota. We will be meeting monthly over the course of the next 9-12 months to learn together and to form our own action plans for how we might be better neighbors- following the guidance of Native Governance Center. Consider joining our On-Call Servant email list! When a need arises we will send an email and if you are available to help, let us know. It's that easy! Diaper Squad
Support our partner Redeemer Lutheran as they help with a food shelf in their neighborhood. Donations ofbaby wipes and diapers of all sizes are needed - these items are in high demand for families accessing food shelves. Volunteers are needed to deliver diapers to N. Minneapolis the first Saturday of the month.

Help supply needed items for our Ministry Partners by purchasing items from our Target Registry. If you click on each item, you will see details about which program or organization the donation will support!
All purchases will be sent directly to Immanuel for distribution to the designated organization. This registry can also be found in stores. Registry items are updated frequently based on needs and current donation drives. Check back often!
