One Story Sundays
One Story Sundays
Once a month, everyone in church will be reading, learning, and talking about the same story. This is an exciting way to engage in conversation on the car ride home, and in the week after. Everyone will interact with the Bible story in age-based ways with intergenerational learning aspects woven through the time of worship and learning.
What to expect
- Children will begin by gathering in worship and sitting with their families in the sanctuary.
- Before the message, the Spark Story Bible will be read and shared with children and the congregation.
- Children will exit the sanctuary after the reading and go to Sunday School or God Squad.
- The story will be developed in both worship and in Sunday School and God Squad so that all generations can discuss the story of the day.
- Discussion questions and take home activities to encourage conversation at home will be published in the bulletin and also posted on this webpage.
