Urgent Need for Volunteers to Assist Refugees
Recent executive orders and financial constraints hinder Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS of MN) Refugee Services’ settlement efforts. Volunteers can help families and new arrivals face these increased challenges.
Refugee Services urgently needs the following volunteers:
- Volunteer Drivers who help newly arrived refugees get to and from medical or dental appointments.
- ESL Tutors who provide a dedicated time to help adult refugees practice their English.
- Donations Inventory Volunteers who help collect, organize and keep inventory of goods donated to Refugee Services.
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering for any of these positions, please contact Leah Yared, Refugee and Immigration Services Community Outreach Coordinator.
