Cristo Obrero, formerly Southwest Metro Latino Ministry Exploration, is a mission development of the Minneapolis Area Synod in the Southwest Conference. Cristo Obrero is accompanying Latino families in Chaska and Shakopee. Pastor Jorge Espinoza is the mission developer. 

Tamale Dinner Fundraiser

Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 5:15-6:15pm

Join us and our partners from Cristo Obrero for a fundraising dinner at the Wednesday Cafe'! The goal is to help them meet their 2024 budget to pay Pastor Jorge. Members of Cristo Obrero will be making yummy homemade tamales. Suggested donations for dinner (including tacos & sides) is $10.00 per person. (Suggested meal price is higher than regular weekly meals at the Cafe'.  As always, if this cost is a burden to you or your family, please accept it as a gift, gladly given.)

Activities like summer soccer, Take-Out VBS, a school supply drive, and others, are helping Pastor Jorge build relationships in the community as he begins to develop a community of faith.

Immanuel is supporting Cristo Obrero financially as a mission development congregation and we are responding to requests for assistance as we are able.
