Psalm 98:4 "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise."
At Immanuel we rejoice having children with us in worship!! Will they always be quiet and well behaved? No, but occasional noise and activity is an important part of the commitment we make at each child's baptism to support their caregivers in faith development and teaching about worship. Thanks be to God for this joyful noise!

Sundays, 9 a.m. only
So is this Sunday School or Confirmation? Neither, it is pre-confirmation, transitioning kids out of Sunday school and preparing them for confirmation. Classes are like Sunday school, in that kids will learn in fun and engaging ways, AND like confirmation as kids will continue to build a foundation of Old and New Testament knowledge, and delve into the Lutheran sacraments of Baptism and Communion, as well as choose a service project to participate in each year.
On Everybody Worship Sundays we encourage families to worship together by not scheduling God Squad or Sunday School. Please join us as families for worship at either 9am or 10:30am on the following Sundays! Activity bags will be available for all children with age appropriate items for your child to engage in faith-filled learning.
Once a month, everyone in church will be reading, learning, and talking about the same story. This is an exciting way to engage in conversation as a whole family! Everyone will interact with the Bible story in age-based ways with intergenerational learning aspects woven through the time of worship and learning. Children will begin by gathering in worship and sitting with their families in the sanctuary. Before the message, the Spark Story Bible will be read and shared with children and the congregation. Children will exit the sanctuary after the reading and go to Sunday School or God Squad- one time volunteers from the congregation are welcome at this time! The story will be developed in both worship and in Sunday School and God Squad so that all generations can discuss the story of the day.
