Since June 1, 47 guests have had a bed at the shelter and 531 individual and family households have been supported by Simpson's Family, Single Adult, and Youth Housing teams
- Volunteer provided meals are suspended through the end of 2020. Shelter guests are being fed through a catering company. Immanuel has provided a financial donation to help with the costs of feeding shelter guests.

Serve Breakfast at Simpson

Immanuel is scheduled to serve breakfast at Simpson Shelter (2740 1st Ave S, Mpls) on the dates listed above. We are in need of 5-8 volunteers
Details
- Meet at Immanuel at 5:30am (yes – its early!) to carpool as there is limited parking available at the Shelter
- Upon arrival at the shelter, cook a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs and fruit – serve it to about 30 guests at 8 a.m. and then clean up. (There is an handbook of procedures and guidelines that will be sent to all volunteers).
- Volunteers must be fully vaccinated and wear a face mask while at the shelter as per Simpson guidelines. Please review Simpson's COVID procedures before volunteering.
- Food is ordered in advance and delivered to Simpson during the week before our group is scheduled to serve.
