Faith Groups are intentional gatherings of Immanuel members for the purpose of growing both spiritually and in relationship to each other. Groups are gathered around some shared life experiences (age, parenthood status, etc.) and given resources to meet monthly. The goal of these meetings is to give a joyful space for each to grow, celebrate, and serve faithfully as children of God and members of this community. Groups decide on their own outline for their meetings, but generally the time together includes:
Each Faith Group has a volunteer leader who commits to helping the group find a time and place to meet, who serves as the communication link between the Faith Group and the church, and who facilitates the planning for each meeting.
Are you looking for a way to be more connected to people at Immanuel and to grow in your faith life? We are expanding a couple of Faith Groups for families with children (one group with preschool aged kids, one with elementary aged kids). Faith Groups meet about once a month to get to know one another on a more meaningful level and to encourage one another in their faith life. Contact Pastor Dan Nelson for more information.
