Serve on Sunday mornings at Immanuel!

You can be the hands and feet of God by experiencing the joy of serving through one of our many opportunities at Immanuel! See descriptions and sign-ups below:

Hospitality

Greeters

• Be a welcoming presence when people first enter the church with a warm smile and a friendly handshake. Be at the door 15 minutes prior to worship start time. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Coffee Server

• Help prepare and serve coffee between services on Sunday mornings (9:45-10:45am). Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Welcome Center Attendant

• Be a welcoming presence and respond to questions from the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings.

Worship

Altar Guild

• Help set up for communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, and every Saturday evening (Sept-May). Please arrive 15 -30 minutes before the service is to begin or end to perform your duties. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Altar Flower Arranging

• Altar Flowers enhance our worship space to celebrate and honor people and events and proclaim the beauty of God’s creation. As a flower arranger, you will check the schedule for your week and purchase, design, and place the arrangement in the sanctuary for worship on the upcoming Sunday.  Any questions or concerns can be directed to Joy Klemp, Altar Flower Team Lead. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Bible Reader/Lector

• Read the Bible verse in worship on a Sunday from the pulpit. If you would like to read but getting to the lector area is difficult for you, please let us know so that we can make arrangements for you! The reading will be printed for you and emailed to you ahead of time. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Communion Assistants

• Help to serve communion as an assistant to the ordained staff. Communion servers should have a caring heart, a willingness to occasionally bless children, and be confirmed. Communion is served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month and every week at the 5pm Saturday service (Sept-May). Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Healing Prayer Assistant:

• Assist ordained staff with healing prayers, which occur on the 4th Sunday of each month. During the prayers you will place your hand on the person's head and read the prayer given to you. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Ushers

• Serve throughout worship on Sunday mornings (9:00am and 10:30am worships). Ushers greet people as they enter the sanctuary and hand them a bulletin, pass around offering baskets, invite people through communion, and do a quick pick-up after worship. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of the worship. Further information will be provided to you as needed.

Tech Team (Screens and Livestream):

• Help make our services accessible by advancing slides or running the livestream for Sunday morning services.
