THEME: Grow in Faith With Us!
- We have been created in the image of a generous God who gives love and grace abundantly. When we are generous, we are living the way God created us to live.
- Generosity frees us from greed and materialism, resulting in much greater satisfaction in life.
- Generosity helps us live our best life as God intended, life that is blessed not by what we get, but by what we give.
- A generous life is a healthier life. Not only does being generous lower stress, when we give we enjoy greater contentment in our day to day life.
- Generosity leads to healthier relationships. When we generously share what we have and who we are with those around us, our relationships are blessed.
- When we live generously, our example is an inspiration for those around us, particularly children and grandchildren, who are encouraged to be the generous people God created them to be.
- Generosity makes the world a better place, which is why God created us to be generous. Our offerings help proclaim the good news of Jesus, pass on faith to the next generation, feed the hungry, comfort the afflicted, heal the sick, and bless people in countless ways as our gifts are put to good use.
Pledge cards will be sent to all members in mid November - bring your completed pledge to worship November 23rd. Pledges can also be made online after November 7.
Why should I pledge?
Knowing what financial gifts we will receive helps church staff & leadership to create a budget within our means and be good stewards of God's gifts. But it does so much more! When you pledge your financial gifts, your heart and focus are changed. Your committment to the ministries of Immanuel is strengthened and you become more fully engaged in that partnership! Growing in giving is an act of faith and trust in the God who provides.
Where can I learn about Immanuel's Partner Ministries?
Benevolence is important to the people of God at Immanuel and we are committed to 16% of our giving going to the ELCA and several partner ministries in the Twin Cities and around the globe. On top of those gifts, we are challenged throughout the year with specific needs of financial gifts, donations or goods, and service of time! Worship: 9:00 & 10:30am
Immanuel will celebrate Giving Sunday on November 23 at our 9:00 and 10:30am services. We come together that day to:
- give thanks for the abundant blessings we receive from God,
- give thanks for the faithful generosity of the people of Immanuel that supports life changing ministry here and out in the world,
- make our pledge of giving toward our Annual Operating Budget for 2026 by:
- returning our pledge cards (send by mail), or by
- submitting our pledges online (available after November 7, 2025)
Our giving transforms lives in two ways. Our giving changes the lives of others as we share the love of God in tangible ways, and our giving changes our hearts as we place our lives in God’s hands with our prayerful pledge.
Thank You Breakfast: 9:45 - 10:45am
This free breakfast (Egg bakes, pancakes and fruit) is a way of saying thanks to you for your faithful giving, and to provide a time of fellowship for all of us to enjoy.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the breakfast. Two shifts are available: 8:15-9:45am Prep & Serve, 9:45-11:15am Clean-up. Click HERE to volunteer!
