Congregational Meeting

The Immanuel Church Council has voted to approve the Call Committee’s recommendation for Pastor Daniel A. Nelson to serve as Immanuel’s Senior Pastor. This is an exciting step forward in our journey of faith and ministry together. As part of our next steps, we must hold a special congregational meeting to formally vote on extending the call to Pastor Daniel Nelson. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, specific time to be determined. Your presence and participation are important as we discern this decision together.

To be eligible to vote at this upcoming meeting, you must meet ALL three conditions:

1. Have taken communion in the past year,
   • If you have not communed in the past year, your next opportunity to do so is Sunday, November 16. Indicate that you communed on the connect cards and place it in the offering basket.
2. Have made a monetary donation to Immanuel in the past year,
   • If you have not given, please do so via Amplify (our online giving tool), or place a check in the offering basket, or stop into the church office and provide your donation
   • Minors who are confirmed are eligible to vote if their family has donated.
3. Be a confirmed member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

For the meeting to be official and the vote to be binding, at least 10% of our voting members must be present. We intend to offer a virtual participation option in the event you are not able to physically be at Immanuel for this meeting. More details regarding the virtual participation option will be communicated as we approach the December 7 meeting date.
