Called to Care. Sent to Serve.

Sunday School | 3 years (by September 1) through 4th grade

Sundays, 9:00am (small groups) and 10:30am (mixed)

Children learn Bible stories and truths in small groups in a variety of ways- reading the Bible, having conversations about the stories, playing games to get the stories into their bodies, and using art as a way to understand the stories. Students have the opportunity to grow in relationship with the children their age, older helpers, and adult mentors of the congregation. They also grow in their relationship with God!

A donation of $15 for one child, $25 for 2 children, and a $40 family max is suggested for Sunday School.

Sunday School most often begins in Fellowship Hall.

  • Large Group: Everyone meets in Fellowship Hall to sing a few songs, practice worship elements, and introduce the story- led by Grace.
  • Breakout learning: Move to small groups (grouped by age at 9am) in classrooms- led by teachers and helpers.
  • Worship ends: Caregivers pick up students from classrooms.

God Squad | 5th and 6th grade

Sundays, 9:00am

Is this Sunday School or Confirmation? Neither!

God Squad is pre-confirmation - transitioning kids out of Sunday school and preparing them for confirmation. Classes are like Sunday school, in that kids will learn in fun and engaging ways, AND like confirmation as kids will continue to build a foundation of Old and New Testament knowledge, and delve into the Lutheran sacraments of Baptism and Communion, as well as choose a service project to participate in each year.

A donation of $15/student is suggested for God Squad. Scholarships are available - cost should not prohibit involvement!

One Story Sundays

Every so often, everyone in church will be reading, learning, and talking about the same Bible passage! Children will begin by gathering in worship and sitting with their families in the sanctuary. A children's message will be shared with children and the congregation. Afterwards, children will exit the sanctuary and go to Sunday School or God Squad. One-time volunteers from the congregation are welcome at this time! The story will be developed in both worship and in Sunday School and God Squad so that all generations can discuss the story of the day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

There's a place for you to make a difference with our children! Volunteers are essential for safe and effective children's ministry, as volunteers provide caring relationships for our children to grow in faith. Anyone in 7th grade or older can be volunteers with the Children's Ministry!

There are many different ways and levels of commitment for serving with our children’s ministry, the largest need for volunteers being with our Sunday School programs. We encourage caregivers to volunteer at least one Sunday per year to help keep our program running smoothly. Visit this page for more information and to sign up to help.
