Virtual Holden Evening Prayer Opportunity

Singing Holden Evening Prayer during Lent is a treasured Immanuel worship tradition.  Since we are still unable to gather and sing together, we invite you to participate in the Psalmody portion of Holden "virtually" from home! Below you will find instructions on how you can make a recording that will be used each Wednesday during Lent.  We hope to gather as many voices as possible for this awesome opportunity! Men or “lower voices” will sing part one and women or “high voices” will sing part two.

Participation Instructions:

• You will record yourself singing along with a practice track that I have made and put-on YouTube. It's important that you use this so when I edit everyone together, all voices line up.
•  Music and Words are embedded in the YouTube link so no need to fumble with music!
  • Practice Track for Group 1 (Men/lower voices)
  • Practice Track for Group 2 (Women/higher voices)
• It is important to wear headphones while recording so that we only capture your voice and NOT the practice track.
• Your iPhone, iPad, other smartphones/tablets have the best quality microphones and cameras, so I suggest using those if you have access. Though when you make a recording using an iPhone/ iPad you'll need a second device like a computer to listen to the track separately. See video explanation on how to record
• Please record in landscape mode (the long way)
• You'll probably mess up and have to try a couple of times... Even in making the practice track I had to record several times! 
• Have fun! It's an odd experience but I promise if each of you radiates your joy in your recordings it will shine through in the final product
• If you are feeling overwhelmed or don’t have access to technology, I am happy to record you in the Sanctuary. Please reach out and we can schedule a time! 

Uploading your video:

• If you're an iphone/ipad person the best way to get me your video is to share using an iCloud link. 
  • Here's how you do that: Share Using an iCloud link
• The other option is to import your files to this folder: Holden Virtual Uploads 
• You can also try emailing to me or using dropbox/ google drive etc

Recordings are due by Sunday, February 14th at midnight
