Why Lutheran?

Why are you a Lutheran? Why are you a member of an ELCA Church? For some of us, the answer is, "Well I was born into it, and it has served my spiritual growth and care well." For others there were intentional choices to be made to leave other Lutheran traditions, to change from other Christian churches, and to even explore the Christian faith for the first time in this place. Whatever the circumstance is for you, it is always good to wonder and explore what you believe and what it means today. 

In our conversations on Wednesday nights, we will explore Lutheran history (where did this way of being Church come from?), Lutheran theology (specifically the beliefs of the ELCA) , and Lutheran insights into reading (and applying) Scripture faithfully today. 

Please join me in asking "Why Lutheran?" and connect with others as we explore the question together.
